What I meant to say to someone I just met: I love reading/watching art that makes me react emotionally. Internally crying and screaming at the author. It's pain but also bliss. I've always wanted to create art that makes people experience emotions in a similar way. It's my dream to have my art give people these emotional sensations.

What I actually said: Yeah, I like to make people suffer :)

so. when i was in high school i was friends with this one girl mostly by proximity. we had leadership positions in the marching band and spent a lot of time working together. we didn't hang out outside of school, we barely talked about stuff outside of band, but we got along well during. so. i guess this is why she pulled me aside to come out to me as bisexual. which is great and fine and awesome, i was out by then and i'm glad she saw me as a safe person to tell, but. due to the fact that i wasn't very close to her and she had just told me something that she saw as very personal and sensitive i had to like. show my support somehow. but i didn't know how. so. i went to put my hand on her shoulder except she is tall and i am short and i put my hand directly on her boob seconds after she told me she was bisexual

Okay so as an alterhuman who loves fandom-

Does anyone else feel the struggle when you are just downright obsessed with a character, just feral over a fictional entity

And then you remember that people who kin fictional entities exist.

AND IT’S NOT IN A NEGATIVE WAY

But you have that moment of realization

Because you have said, jokingly, a million times, “lol I’m so glad this character isn’t real, I’d die of embarrassment if that real actual entity ever saw me going insane like this”.

And

Lo and behold

You make eye contact with this (not)person

That exact entity

and you just have to deal with that.

You just have to stand there knowing that you have gone “my scrimblo and their bimbinis,,,” about this entity.

And they at any time can come demand an explanation for your rabid feral tendencies that just so happen to be about them.

Like there is nothing that will ever prepare you for the experience that is-

Support group for people who have told hilarious stories about their grandparents at social functions only to find out after the story is over and when they are already nearly crying laughing that that was in fact not funny but rather a horrifying example of how fucked some people's families are to the majority of the population AND that half of the people present will now never speak to them again

i think sometimes tags in reblogs that say smth different from the original post are less a lack of reading comprehension and more like. "oh this reminds me of that related topic that is different but has a common thread" and many ppl just forget that they're not having a conversation with op and that op may find it weird or annoying to see this unrelated topic in the tags of their post, esp when it feels like missing the point of the original by supposedly briging up an example that's not about the post's actual topic, and esp if it's a very serious topic

tldr ik it's annoying but let's apply good faith where we can. on the flip side, let's take an extra second to think "hmmm does this actually relate to the post i'm rbing rn" before posting our tags if we don't want to get blocked or raise a random stranger's blood pressure

I made so many stupid mistakes today at Narrative class including those I knew about! That thing I wrote was terrible, but it's also going to be very hard to fix its fundamental problems in order to make it work as a narrative for a video-game. I had no energy to write until an hour before class though Skull Emoji
